Dal
poemetto Confidenze confidenziali (Rayuella Edizioni, 2013)
Non so se a
tredici anni ero tanto a posto
ma leggevo
soltanto Dostoevskij
quando la
notte prendeva un insolito andazzo,
cioè, la
notte quando non ricordavo mai
le pecore
che avevo contato, o quando
il gallo
non indovinava mai l’orario, o
quando lo
spazzino una mattina ‘sì' e una ‘no’
si
dimenticava di lavorare.
Bevevo il
Martini rosso di nascosto da tutti,
mescolavo
la birra con la vodka
per
ubriacarmi più velocemente.
Volevo
liberarmi dell’anima, (penso),
ed alcune
mattine la vomitavo. Tenevo
il
pianoforte sempre aperto,
con il
coperchio smontato e suonavo a orecchio,
senza
spartiti. Lo facevo
non perché
mi piacesse suonare,
ma per
chiudere bocca a mia madre. Perché se no –
dicevo
parolacce. Perché, se no –
bestemmiavo...
a tredici anni.

Traduzione di Daniela Sartogò
I do not
know if at the age of thirteen
I was so
straight, but I only read Dostojevsky
when the
night would take on an unusual situation,
that is,
at night when I could never remember
the
sheep I had counted, or when
the
rooster never guessed the time, or
when the
street sweeper forgot
to work
every other day.
I drank
red Martini hidden from everyone,
mixed
beer with vodka so as
to get
drunk faster. I wanted to get rid
of the
soul, (I think)
and some
mornings I puked. I kept
the
piano always open, with the lid
disassembled
and played by ear,
without
sheet
music.
I did it
not because I liked to play,
but to
close my mother's mouth. Because
otherwise
- I would say bad words. Because if not I
would
swear... at thirteen years old.
